Testimonials

Jeannie Majercin has worked with Ophelia’s Place since 2012. She has been a vital piece of our organizational growth and success. In 2012 Ophelia’s Place budget was less than $400,000. Today (2020), we have surpassed the $1,000,000 mark. With grant funds making up about 45% of our annual budget, Jeannie has been an invaluable team member.

(Jean) is an amazing grant writer. She was great to work with, always responded quickly to all requests and was very clear on what we needed to provide to make the best use of our time. She was very helpful on what to do when a grant team wanted to visit to ensure we received the grants. I have recommended her to other programs and she is the first person I will call when needing assistance in the future.

Jeannie brought our grant applications to a professional level, quickly understanding our organization and needs, developing a template of information, and matching us with grantors most likely to be interested in us. She understands what grantors are looking for and how to present requesting organizations in the best possible light. We more than quadrupled our incoming grant funds by working with Jeannie compared to doing the work ourselves.

The Docking Institute of Public Affairs, and its own nonprofit clients, benefits tremendously from our relationship with Jeannie Majercin. The Institute provides survey research, strategic planning, grant evaluation, and economic impact assessment services to nonprofit and governmental entities. Our clients often request grant research and writing work, and Jeannie is our go-to provider of these activities. Jeannie has excellent research skills and keeps up-to-date with grant opportunities from a variety of funders and for a variety of issues. She quickly understands the needs of our clients and anticipates issues that may arise given the often-complex world of the grant writing and grant submission. We have worked with Jeannie since 2016, and our long relationship is a testament of our respect of her abilities. I consider Jeannie the sixth member of our five-person Institute team.

Jeannie is incredibly organized, efficient and detail oriented.  I view our work together as a partnership - she is an extension of my fundraising team.  Together we were able to write more proposals that had successful outcomes, especially multi-year grants, which are inherently more work to organize, write and manage once they are funded.  It is a fact that more girls and youth in Oregon had access to social emotional support and resources thanks to Jean's work with Ophelia's Place.
